[WeeklyDevLog#5] Towards a complete team and general planning !


Hello everyone, Robertoz here.

First of all on this DevLog, I wish to welcome again Ruderoo, our new background artist doing already good work. You'll see in the attached images a screencap of the current main menu, I'm very excited to work with him!

Secondly, as of just today, the concept art of Igor Mayakovsky, our main character's direct superior has been achieved. What kind of friendship bond do they maintain ?

And third and not least, today I wish to tell you all the general planning of the game releases and the different milestones I set up for this project. These steps are indicative and I hope we will reach them, but if the circumstances makes it that they are not reached, so be it.

We officially started this project on the 14th of October 2021, with the engagement of our character designer mostly, marking for me the beginning of my financial investment into this project.

The first milestone to be reached is on the 14th of January, 2022. As three month will have passed, I seek for at least 50% of the common route to be written and integrated into the game, and as much as possible sprites of our characters (a single sprite per character would be enough for this deadline).

The second milestone will happen on the 14th of April, 2022. As six month will have passed, I seek the entire main route to be written up and designed, and most of its backgrounds to be ready. I also expect an entire route at least to be ready.

The third milestone will be on the 14th of July, 2022. As nine month will have passed, the summarized scenario should be entirely ready, and at least three routes should be functional regarding scenario. Most of the sprites should be ready to use, and most of the remaining work would be around CGs (Computer Graphics) and backgrounds to be drawn. At this moment, as the project will be close to be achieved, the alpha testing will be closed. Versions may be uploaded more or less regularly for Patreons, at least until the beta.

The fourth and maybe the most important milestone of all will happen on the 14th of October, 2022. One year from the beginning, I seek that the entire game would be done. Script and different artworks shall be totally realized and paid, and we will open some pretty short-lived beta versions with public feedback.

The last and surely most expected milestone will be the Game Release on the First of December, 2022. This game will be released for free on -- normally -- two platforms, Steam and itch. These 45 days will let me properly advertise and prepare a teaser for the game and publish it a few days before its release. After a year and 45 days, I will be proudly releasing this game everyone in the team and also all our supporters worked hard for. 

What about the next parts ? 

Well, we cannot preview what will be happening in each other one's life such a long time ahead. I plan to keep on developing the game to create the content for the two other campaigns, even though they might be shorter additions. As it stand, I cannot guarantee we will go on, but for sure the Soviet Front campaign will be completed and released.
